6 October 2003: Bebop

Stagewalker's delightful portrayals of me and Lexicat in the Allies section of his site inspired me to overhaul my Pack page (just in time to add Lila's new journal site, Guttergaunt, which she just put up yesterday). Right now I've got a whole lot of overhauling I want to do on this site, but it will probably happen slowly, bit by bit, over much time. I've taken down the Art Gallery; the better pieces of art will eventually be resurfacing, illustrating various other pages - the long-term plan isn't the purging of images, but the increased integration of images and text. So much to do. I've got all kinds of essays I want to write, both on this site and the Aiki Arts site. But ditching the day job gave me so much time that I started all kinds of projects, and now I don't have any time.

At least I'm still making sure to get enough rest. Trouble is, I'm not getting enough sleep because I stay up too late, resting.

I sometimes suspect I may be an idiot.

The Admiral, still in California, came into town yesterday, and I did dinner at Red Sea last night with him, the Khan, Speaks Like Silence, Sister Sisyphus, and Berkeley Slim. Went home in a food coma, watched many episodes of Cowboy Bebop on DVD.

Which reminds me: Cowboy Bebop is the greatest television show ever made.

Woke up early this morning and joined the Khan, the Admiral, and Argus for coffee. Hung out with the Admiral for a few hours.  Now the Khan is driving him back up north, and the sun is setting, and I've just feasted on leftover Eritrean food while watching more Cowboy Bebop.

Which reminds me: Cowboy Bebop is the greatest television show ever made.

Starting tomorrow, I'll be putting a lot of time into homework and other writing that I've been wanting to get to. Probably won't be many journal entries for a while, partly because I'll be spending too much time in front of the computer as it is, and partly because, God willing, life will be pretty routine. At least until late November, when the ritual lab starts.
