| 25 December 2003: Fun |

I was wrong: yesterday's entry wasn't my penultimate entry for the year. This entry is. Just popping in to let interested parties know that this year's December 31st Bone Council won't be at Lexicat's after all - it will be at Stagewalker's. Show up noonish. Bring brunchy sorts of food. Invite all the good people you know, plus all the bad people who might benefit from a good example. As usual, if you want to come but don't know where it is, contact me.
Last night I went to Stagewalker's and hung out with Stagewalker, Dragon Lady, the Khan, Lexicat, Gemrise, Kimchee, and Da Rong Jo. We ate huge quantities of delicious food and played fun games and laughed ourselves stupid. Fun was had. This morning I hung out with Dragon Lady, enjoying having a whole morning together in which neither of us had to go anywhere. Fun was had. Then I went into the City to hang out with Lexicat. Eventually we were joined by Stagewalker, Kimchee, and Gemrise, and we ate huge quantities of Chinese food, and then we went back to Lexicat's place and played a game that consisted mostly of absurd, mock-outraged arguments (not officially - just the way we played it). Fun was had. Lexicat is the absolute most funnest person with whom to have silly arguments over obscure subjects. I still maintain that the Katzenjammer Kids can legitimately be considered to be "villains" within the context of their particular universe. However, after having enriched many other people's referrer logs with the obligatory Google search, I am now willing to concede that Licorice Limes are not, by the standards of any existing culture past or present, a "dessert." In considering the two very fun days I've had, I note that when I'm having a lot of fun, I'm perfectly willing to be a complete goofball (picking up Dragon Lady's vocabulary here) in order to have even more fun. If I'm laughing with friends, I'm willing to say and do the stupidest things if it will make us laugh more.Which gives me another exciting new polarity to play with in the Initiations lab: Vanity/Fun.
