| 25 January 2005: Subject Line Meme |

I was reading my email just now, and it suddenly occurred to me that just the titles of the emails I get say a lot about what sort of friends I have. And of course, the obvious thing to do with a thought like that is to turn it into a new blogging meme. For those unfamiliar, blogging memes are like chain letters for online journallers: one person publishes a list of interesting personal questions in his or her journal, along with his or her own answers, and then all of that person's readers reprint the questions in their own journals, along with their answers. Or everyone publishes the latest interesting search terms from their site's referrer logs. Or whatever - the idea is to have a bunch of people who read each other's journals all answer/explore the same particular odd little facet of their lives, so that they can enjoy reading one another's entries on the subject. So here's my contribution to the blogging meme genre: the Subject Line Meme. It's simple: look at the titles of all the emails you've received from friends this month. List the ten most interesting ones in your journal, in chronological order. Here are mine:
